Pogačar gets what he wants out of Montréal while giving a teammate a chance to add to his own palmares.

Two days after Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor) denied them in Québec, UAE Team Emirates-XRG struck back with a vengeance at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal. Brandon McNulty and Tadej Pogačar secured the one-two finish on Sunday with Quinn Simmons (Lidl-Trek) more than a minute behind in third.

Two-time Montréal winner Pogačar applauded as McNulty rolled over the line first to take the victory. For McNulty, it was a first-ever one-day win at the highest level. For Pogačar, it was a clear message to the rest of the pro peloton that he is ready to defend his rainbow jersey at the upcoming world championships.
