Chloe Dygert puts herself back in the culture wars at Worlds

A sticker on her bike referencing slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk brought fresh criticism on social media for a rider who's faced past scrutiny for her views.

Not for the first time, Chloe Dygert has put herself and her Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto team in the spotlight, and not for her incredible power on a bike. Dygert rolled off the start ramp of World Time Trial Championships on Sunday as one of the favourites, having won the race twice before, but ultimately finished ninth. Following the race, it wasn't a criticism of her performance but of a political statement stuck onto her bike that caught people's attention.

In the days after the time trial, internet sleuths zoomed in on photos of Dygert's Canyon Speedmax, specifically the fork, decorated with a sticker that read: "I stand for the truth. I stand with Charlie Kirk."
