Eurobike has just kicked off in Frankfurt, Germany, and one of the first things we noticed when entering the expo halls was a completely new offering from Giant. The Seek, which comes in both Giant and Liv branding, has been designed specifically for younger riders. From the ground up, the frame and all components are said to not only fit smaller riders, but also ride well, too.

Beginning with the frame, Giant states that it analyzed a variety of human body fit data to create a bike optimized for riders in the 130-150 cm (4' 3" - 4' 11") height range. Roughly, this translates to ages 6-12. The Seek leverages a low bottom bracket drop of 75 mm, along with 650b wheels, and 55 mm fork rake for a reported stable yet responsible ride quality.

Knowing groms are always growing, Giant added a body height index to the Seek's seatpost for quick saddle height adjustment. The complete bike, which consists of an aluminum frame (Giant refers to as ALUXX tubing) and a carbon fork, weighs in at 7.4 kg for the complete Seek 1 build.

Components for the Seek have explicitly been sourced or manufactured by Giant to fit the ergonomics and body mechanics of young riders. This attention to sizing detail can be seen most prominently in the cockpit and drivetrain.
