Organizers of the Vuelta a España announced late Wednesday European time that the route for Thursday's stage 18 time trial will be drastically shortened due to security concerns around pro-Palestinian protests. In a short statement published to social media, the race organization said the original 27.2 km route would be cut to less than half of its original distance.
